As far as I can tell they do 356's but don't do 550 gauges, they are very different. Most use the 356 gauges, they are ok but not an authentic look for a 550.

Recent experience is that both Palo Alto and NHS are backing away from mods to 105 mm instruments. They will do some repairs but mods and refacing seems to be off their dance cards...

Fair enough. The 100s and 115s from the 914 are correct size.

I went with new vintage
http://newvintageusallc.mybigcommerce.com/

I got the bigger tach with a different redline for a Subaru engine, plus the "quad" multi-gauge (pressure, temp, fuel, voltage).

I think the total was around $800. My proof is attached. That was in 2010 however...

Those look really great. Wow.

So, if I understand: you called the company and said "make these" and that's what they did? Because there's nothing remotely like them on their web site.

Also: what are the gauge diameters on these?

Remember, this was 7 years ago, but if i recall correctly, I bought 914 cores and sent them to them to modify. So they would have been whatever the standard gauge sizes were for the 914 Tach and Speedo. Then we did upgrades like LED backlighting.

I would call them first and ask if they still do it. In the past they advertised doing the 550 gauges, but I don't see that on their site anymore...
