I found CarlosG on speedster owners. This is the bar I'm looking for. Think I'll give it a try.

Ralph -
Are you using a 24mm rear torsion bar with your z-bar setup?

Started with 3/4" bar; arms were 6" bar center to drop link center due to space considerations (as I recollect; I sold the car) and the smallest short torsion bars I could find. Too stiff. Switched to 5/8" bar, more compliant. I don't think I ever calculated the wheel rate attributable to the Z bar.
