Original VIN Plate Info

Postby Anta » Sun May 06, 2018 9:04 am

Hi All, I have a blank copy VIN plate for my Spyder which is a Martin & Walker based on a 55. I am not sure of the correct info to stamp into it....I have some details from searching, just wondered if anyone knew or had a photo of an original? Am annoyed as my pal was standing next to one in Silverstone this week! Thanks.

Info required for VIN plate is.....

Typ (Type) - 550 or RS550? What did they put here?
zul Gesamtgewicht (Perm Total weight) - 900kg?
zul Achslast Vorn kg (perm. axle load front kg) - 450kg?
zul Achslast hinten kg (perm. axle load rear kg) - 450kg?
Fahrgestell-nr (Chassis Nr) - Will put my cars real one here
Baujahr (Construction Year) - 1955
Martin & Walker 550 Spyder

Thanks Larry. I saw those, on the first one it was the missing left hand side I was after, the model type for a Spyder etc. Make sense?

Cheers

If you aren't able to find a photo of a V.I.N. plate, use your Private Message service on this site and send Andrew a PM his user name is gotowo He probably has a photo of a vin plate. His web site is http://www.type550.com
