I'm back in circulation again. I downloaded and printed the Kit Car articles; fun reading and perspective of 30-something years ago.

Back to your original question about a space frame chassis for a GP Spyder 718 body (or clone). Maybe I can help:

Here did you obtain this chassis photo. Looks like the B and M Enterprises Porsche 718 RSK chassis. Do you have anymore?
Thx.

NealB,
How did I obtain the photo? I rolled the chassis out of the garage and took a picture of it.

It is not a B&M Chassis. Until you posted the articles on B&M I did not know they existed. It does look like my chassis and the B&M are similar, but they do not share origin. I inherited a mess (supposedly a 718 "roller") from Ryan Engineering (Ryan Engineering is an oxymoron). The chassis and everything else from Ryan was so bad it is hard to explain. Suffice it to say that while cutting up the chassis with a torch to throw the entire Ryan mess away a dim idea came upon me to remake the chassis myself and see if I could build a spyder around it.

I have lots of pictures of the chassis, and progress through build-out. But they all must be reduced from big jpeg files to post here. They will work for email though. So send me your email via PM and I'll send you some photos.

But first, where do you live and why are you researching for a chassis?

I would kill for that suspension, Mark. That's what we all wish Greg and Carey would go to..........

Thanks Danny, although it is obviously a beginner's home-made "concoction". For sure both Carey and Greg know how to do the real thing, and execute it professionally (ae: 904)
