Wasn't Porsche interned after the war due to his \"contribution\" in assisting the Nazi's?

During that time Ferry was working in moving the Porche interest forward, while the allies were picking his father's brain, and probably assisting a french firm like Renault in moving their interests forward with Porche's expertise.

Yes. Jailed in France as I recall.

Interesting fact is that unlike the yanks who have prisoners make license plates, prisoners in France make cars to put them on 8-[

This car has an aircooled 4 cilinder boxer-engine that's mounted in the back.

It looks like a Porsche 356, sounds like it, but it isn't... It dates from a time when the first Porsche had yet to be build.

In 1952, this car manufacturer made the model 'tank' on the base of a Renault 4cv. It was especially designed to go for several (8) speed records

The car is then exposed on the stand of Renault at the Paris Auto Show in 1952 and the car received numerous positive feedback. Because of this they decided to build a coupé.

With this coupé they participated at the 24 heures du Mans in 1953.

This is a picture of the car during the 24 hrs of Le Mans in 1953:

So... What car manufacturer build this 356 look-a-like?

Did they fit a Porsche or VW engine to it as the Renault 4CV had a water cooled inline 4 at the rear
