Its very interesting to say the least. Its almost a cross between and speedster, spyder, and the spec racer that Carey was making a few years ago. :-k
Ya gotta drive it like ya stole it!

To each his own but in my opinion, the 550 Spyder looks the best as it was originally intended. I don't care for modifications such as this and is it me or does it appear that the basis for this project is a Perry D Pimp Daddy Spyder?

It's hard to improve on such a classic car as the 550. Why would you try to to add to what is allready perfect! I don't like the mods at all.

I don't see it as a modified spyder I see it as a hot rod. Hot Rods are kool. At our monthly show I see all kinds of hot rods, the creativity is astounding. A Hot Rod based on a 50 mercury is not a 50 mercury with extra stuff it is actually a creation that is as different from a Mercury as hot and cold.

Some of the stuff on this is good - did you see the fan enclosure and the suspension and the top -- some is goofy. The Perry has some bad proportions to start out with.
Oh sh*t -- It was rocket science!
That's how my brain works. It's not a perfect organ.

I'm sorry. Am I not entitled to my own opinion as I stated? Hotrod, outlaw, whatever you want to call it, I personally don't care for it.

I thought the perry was rear engined?
My $0.02:

Cool:
1. Love the hinged firewall panels - would make changing belts easy :)
2. Low mounted gas tank is interesting... can't tell how that works, since mine is above my feet. So it must be longer?
3. Rear suspension looks interesting too. Would love to decouple the swing axle compression / camber change.
4. Like the center tunnel...

Not so cool:
1. One set of "scoops" looks like they feed the carbs, fine. Second set looks like the one on my old outback sport - useless & just creating drag!
2. Can we finally ditch the steering box and put in a proper rack & pinion? I need to post pictures of my solution...
3. Why on earth did they choose those gauges? It's not a '32 ford. Get proper black face VDOs in there
4. Meh on the ground effects... why does it need a skirt? I half expect neon tube lighting under there...
