I don't have a beck and have not seen a recently built one, but I have talked to Carey recently and from the way he talks about his cars and cars in general I suspect that you would get a real nice product. The one thing that you have to remember about these cars is that unless you build one yourself or pay serious money to have them custom build it, they are in a sense production builds.

I have one and am extremely happy with the car. Carey has gone above and beyond a couple of times to provide me with information or little things i needed. The quality of service is extremely good. For all the other builders who don't return phone calls, please take a note on how Carey and his family takes care of their customers.

hah hah. i dunno if it's real, but a gal friend recently told me about a number that she hands out to losers that hit on her in bars.

it looks like a local number, but when you dial it, a recorded voice says something along the lines of \"youuuuuuu've been rejected! you totally suck! did you really think you'd get a valid phone number?\" etc. etc. etc.

i about peed myself laughing!

ok, actually it happened to me.

ok, i actually did pee myself.

ok, i wasn't laughing.
All hail The Simonster

What ever happened to the 904 he was developing? The last time I talked to him, he was trying to negotiate with two builders on producing the car. I then heard he had a deal with Superformance, and I haven't heard anymore about the project.

Yes, Chuck will be \"playing\" in the spyder business again.
If you look under our \"authorized dealers\" post you will see \"CHARLES (CHUCK) L. BECK (the individual) - now semi-retired in GA. can buy/sell any of our products.\"
He recently took delivery of his first container in quite some time.

Thanks for the post, Gleide. Hope to see ya soon.

Best regards
Carey

crud. . . I just told a newbie on spyderowners.com that Beck was no longer building the 550. I'll have to go over there and let em no the truth. This is good news for the Spydie world. . . though I continue to hear very positive things about WasserSpyder's operation.

as far as the 904 project, i had also heard that kind of got bogged down and sidelined though Tom at ThunderRanch is obviously building his version. Maybe the record on this issue could be straightened by THE source? Gleide????

I'm sure Gleide can add to this if needed, but Chuck just returned from S. Africa, where the 904 project is moving full speed ahead.
Chuck and Randy (his son) finished all of the exterior and chassis tooling/redesign about 6 months ago, shipped everything to Port Elizabeth, and they (Chuck and Superformance's manufacturer) are working on interior and final details currently.

I hate giving \"release dates\" because I have found out quickly in this business that anything can happen (and probably will) but Chuck hopes to have the first cars in the states by the first of the year. I can only hope. After my ride in Chuck's car a few years back, it will be the next car in my personal stable.
