Hi.

This is my first post and I'm trying to get the hang of the editor... Ah ha, after a little re-edting I managed to load photos into this post (once i worked out I had to upload less than 1000pixel wide and 150kb - a slow learner)

This is my scrathcbuild RSK. It's been 10 years in the making and is based on the few available drawings of an RS60, measurements from a 1/43rd model and many photos. The body is more snub nosed than a GP Plastics RSK. It's Subaru turbo powered and a little bit frightening. It should be road certified this year

Have you got it licensed? I know that can be difficult.
The auto museum in Melbourne has an original, but one of you has the steering wheel on the wrong side. :D
GoToWo, on this forum used their 550 to great effect in his build.
Enjoy both the fine RSK and this site.

Thank you for the messages. Yes certification awaits. Luckily nz has a supportive transport agency that has contracted the development of low volume vehicle certification standards to the builders themselves. This is underpinned by regulations, authorised and tested certifiers, a definitive hobby car manual and a strong constructors car club. For all that, it ain't easy...

To complete the registry aspect of this post the specs of the car are as follows (in metric not those funny olde English inch things)

Length 3600mm width 1512mm wheel base 2200mm weight 680kg est.
Rs 60 rsk replica fibreglass body homebuilt
Space frame chassis mostly 25.4x25.4 1.6 wall erw
1990 Subaru ej20g turbo rated at 199 bhp but giving more
Subaru radiator front mounted
Air water intercooler
OEM engine management
Subaru 2wd transaxle with a mix n match clutch
VW ball joint beam front suspension with the usual camber and polyurethane upgrades
Double wishbone rear suspension and Mercedes 190 rear uprights.
Gaz shocks and coil overs
Discs all round VW and Merc

Hi Everyone....
I recently acquired a GP Spyder RS60 with 1973 beetle shortened frame and an Alfa 1500 boxer engine..... [xx(] I have now swapped the engine with a VW T2 1600 double intake engine and it runs and looks so much better. The car is in Italy but I still have the original UK registration and plates.
