Yeah it was pretty painless, though running the big cable away from the exhaust is gonna be a little tricky since I flipped the trans bracket system 180 degrees.

Close to coming in for a landing. I called the insurance company the other day and they want pics of the car so I dusted it off and pushed it outside. I figure I'm 6 hours' work from having something I can take to the state for inspection.

Here are the shots I posted on SOC:

New blog post on the project:

Trimming out the interior. Not as good at this as some others are on this board.

The Spyder is aligned and the ride height is set.

The exhaust is all done.

Having trouble with the clutch system though. I keep adjusting it and it seems to pull the arm fine but I can't get "clutch" enough to put the car in gear while running. Anyone with a CNC hydraulic clutch have any tips?

If I recall correctly you can put quite a lot of pre-tension on it - in other words when the clutch is released the arm is not slack, as there's a lot of movement in the arm before the plates disengage...

Thanks. I've got it about 30 degrees now before it seems to bump into something I can't push with my finger. I put a thin aluminum pipe over the clutch arm this am to see if I could engage the clutch with it that way and the pipe split... gonna get something a bit stouter after dinner.

The slave seems to be bled out but it still only pulls maybe a half or 5/8 of an inch. And I have to use a shim to get it to that spot on the clutch arm where it seems to "engage." So it all seems wrong.

my slave cylinder

hopefully this is helpful to see how much "preload" you can put there statically

Thanks, that's very helpful.

I actually figured out the problem yesterday. Wrong pressure plate. I ordered one of those clip on ring things you need to put on the fingers of the later clutch to make it act like the earlier clutch and allow the TOB to reach it. Drive train is coming out tomorrow.

Engine is back out. Part is ordered.

This part: Image

Which might be the only dang automotive part I have ever thrown away.

Clutch is back together (blog here: https://alongcameaspyder.wordpress.com/2019/11/03/interior-trim-also-clutch-rr/)

I also finished the door top upholstery and some other interior bits.
