Thanks, Dan. Yeah, that escalated.

Today we got after the pedals. Those gotta look right too.

Continuing the build. https://alongcameaspyder.wordpress.com/2018/01/25/more-details/Blogged in great detail about fitting the seats, making those pedals, getting the steering shaft squared away and starting on

Got the secondary clam pins and receivers more-or-less squared away.

Here's what I'm shooting for (Courtesy of Type 550 . com)

And here's what I've got:

They're a bit of a fettle, to say the least.

I made my own Spyderesque pedal set and it was folly.

Been aluminumizing the belly. Easy and fun. The driver's side footwell is now held in by 1/4-inch 20 machine screws and similar-sized sheet metal screws. There's a 14 x 30-inch section ahead of the front firewall, before the nose, I still have to finish. And of course the rear underpan, which will be its own major project. But moving right along.

Door handles are basically done.

Gonna try to make a set of original style rear latches now, because what the hell, right? When you're in this deep, might as well just keep digging.

Still messing with the rear latches. Meanwhile I went ahead an installed brake cooling ducts

and mocked-up the rear clam stay:

I still need to make the frameside mount for this. I'll build it out of pressboard again before I move on to aluminum. When I get it right I might produce 1:1 drawings, if there's any interest.

Got the clam latches sorted today. Also got the torsion arm dust-excluder brushes done. Finally, went under the car and drilled-out a bunch of rivets I'd put in a few weeks ago: they were too short, I noticed when I put the lift down. So I got some loooong rivets to replace them.

Hard lines are all done...depending on how well my flaring technique worked.
