Selling Vintage 550

Postby smonop » Thu Dec 12, 2019 9:09 am

Longtime club member. I currently own 4 autos (3 toys, 1 daily driver) and am looking to downsize as I’m not getting any younger.

Details and pics here. https://m.facebook.com/salvi.monop.1?ref=bookmarks

PM or e-mail with any questions. I haven’t posted an asking price, rather am open to offers given value is based on so many factors with our cars. Thank you.

There are many people, (including myself) who refuse to go on Facebook for many reasons. What I'm getting at is you're limiting you advertisement mostly to Millennial's, many of which are 30 years old and don't have a drivers license.

Try other sources of advertisement for better results

Appreciate the advice and agree. I don't actually have a personal Facebook account, I created the page a few days ago, devoid of personal information simply to have a generically known site to list the car and specs to be viewed principally by the members here. I haven’t yet listed the car formally on The Samba, etc., first dibs was intended for true enthusiasts here who might be interested.

Did you sell your Spyder. If not, where is it listed?

I haven’t sold the car yet, only posting here thus far. I’ve had inquiries from club members, which was my intent, i.e. give those looking first dibs. The guys on this site have been very good to me since day one and I was fairly confident someone might have serious interest like I had 10 years ago. I will be posting externally soon. My e-mail is listed or you can PM me.

Since some are hesitant to or unable to access the Facebook page, see below re specs. I will do my best to upload pics.

Very interested in your Spyder. I've been looking now for about a year and have missed out on a couple on BaT. I am new to the forum as of today. Didn't see an email for you but would love to see pics. Sounds like a special Spyder. I'm in Oregon, and currently have a Bullitt recreation for sale on another site. I've owned eight Porsches, so I guess I'm hooked. First one was a '55 356. Current one is a '14 Cayman S.

I’m going to try to make pics available somewhere external other than Facebook given the site is not well received, which I understand. Full disclosure in that topic, I had only set up the page for the purpose of posting pics, subsequently disabling it. The issue is my pics are larger than the kb permitted here so I’m unable to upload. Plus I have a large number of photos.
