Here is the last version of the Porsche 547 / 550 Fan Shroud.
This is a steel version produced for making the mole of the fiberglass version.
Don't give up we are committed to get this to the market.
Please note that we have retained the original cylinder tin on this version, this will contribute to the ease in installation.

Don't give up.
We will have product by early Spring.
I might be looking for an early tester. I will supply a steel version for testing only.
Lets talk. I want true feedback.

Any news on the type IV? Just so you know there is no original tin, like many I have a DTM on my engine. I had understood the type IV version was being tested. What was the result?

Just wondering, does if anyone knows if BIC is still working on the 550 replica cooling fan? I noticed he posted his 550 for sale, maybe with the car gone he is no longer working on the fan assembly.

BIC, if you are still out there, are you intending to continue work/development on the cooling fan? If not would you be interested in selling the drawings, moulds, other work and part research you have done to date. That way one of us could take it over.

Does anyone know what became of Bic or his project? Seemed so promising, then, POOF!

Nope. I tried e-mailing, calling, etc. when Bic went AWOL a long while back but nada... it’s really the only thing left I would consider for my car, so was really bummed... I know that Russ at Fibersteel is working on something but don't know timelines, cost, etc. As I’ve stated here multiple times, I love my FAT performance built Type IV but hate their signature 911 shroud...

Very discouraging. I've been planning to try to make one also but, having seen the history of this attempt, it looks way more daunting than I at first supposed. I'll see if Carey has any info about how Bic's designs worked or failed.

I ran into Bic at a car show in Weston. He was displaying a beetle that he had. He said he sold his Spyder with the shroud in one of the previous pictures. Sounds like he dropped the project.

It looks like he still runs / renews his advert for the Fan Shroud on the Samba Classifieds...

Whats interesting is the ad was renewed December 22, 2017. I'm e-mailing and will see if I get an answer. I'm looking for a type IV so maybe not going happen.
