Not really, its like a motor cycle! They have wind screens and no wipers. I'd check though, I had no issue getting a safety. Where I live all I need is to get a safety inspection one time then I'm plated. Some people get the safety with the windshield then remove it and install the plexi. Vintage sell a plexi that covers the holes from the wind shield so they are interchangeable if you needed to switch back and forth.

Al, depends on what state and how the car is registered. If it's registered as a 1955 or 56 I think almost anything goes. The newer year on the registration the more safety requirements.

Ed, old top was destroyed on impact. It was in the front trunk......
