I picked up some front hood straps from Dusty from Cali at Pleasant Valley Saddles but the tan color was too dark to match with my faded rear clam-shell straps.
So I picked up some Tandy Leather straps, measured all holes and cut them in, made a sharp tool to round the strap ends, dyed all a closer Tan, added the buckles and end caps and then installed them today on my Spyder.
Because I have a windshield I placed them at an angle and outside of the hood fake locks. Period correct typically had them straighter and inside of the hood locks.
I still like the look and got them close to the rear strap color. I may make new ones for the rear. While I was at it I made a strap for some tools.
