Good source for Porsche crests and P O R S C H E emblems?

Postby TRIPHX » Sat May 14, 2011 5:03 pm

I need (2) of each, the best price I have seen so far is $335 through Fibersteel. Does anyone have another source or an extra pair sitting around?

Thanks! Forgive my ignorance; is the 8.5\" or 10\" emblem appropriate for a 550A?

8 1/2 is correct. Be advised I don't know how long the wait may be. I waited six weeks for mine on backorder, but it was definitely a good price for them.

Look around the various year 911's parts. At one point the had the original small orange crests but I can't remember what year 911 part section it was under. I'm 95 % sure they have crests. Although on my car it seemed too much to have both. So I went with just the emblem.

For hood crest, you want the one for the 356. Others are too large. Ideally, for period correct appearance, you want the ones w/the orange stripes, not red (if you can find). [8D]

And to add on to what Matt said, you need a crest underliner for the hood crest. I used some epoxy circuit board and made my own, the originals were bakelite I think. Fibersteel sells them.

The crestliners I just received from Fibresteel are leather. Delivery on the crests, crestliners and scripts was 1 week!
