Wind Wings and Mirror Shaft Escutcheon

Postby RVosari » Sun Apr 14, 2019 7:27 am

I recently installed the vent wings that Bruce Williams (West Coast Bruce) makes for the Speedster standard windshield. They work fine on the Spyder and really help to control wind flowing into the cockpit...

I also installed one of his escutcheons to hide the ugly mirror rod hole [8D]

No sun visors? They look like nice parts. I have wondered how much the would help the turbulence around the driver.

What is that in front of your mirror rod? It looks like vent or a speaker from the small pic.

That is an polished aluminum casting Bruce makes...he calls it an Escutcheon, it hides the mirror rod hole.

The vent wings can be moved around to influence air flow...the visors likely do that as well

ReV,
I was asking about the brownish/black 3x5" flat piece in front of the mirror rod.

Ohhh...that's Velcro for the tonneau...not a fan of metal "thingies" :)

That's funny! I can see it now that you said Velcro.
