Friendly DMV &/or CHP office

Postby danstern » Wed Aug 15, 2018 12:40 pm

Anyone know of a cooperative DMV &/or CHP office for inspections in SoCal?
Need to get a motorcycle engine serial no. and stickers verified.
The commercial VIN verifier said she's not allowed to do it.
Not afraid to trailer the bike 100 miles if it means a cooperative office.

Hi there,
Don’t know if you still need this info but, have AAA do it for you. Always friendlier than the DMV.
If you’re not a member, just join and then you can discount. After a month.
That’s how I did mine.
Anyways, good luck, if this issue is still outstanding.
Cheers,

Some progress has been made but incomplete.
The AAA can't do out of state dealer sold vehicles any more.
They're much friendlier/helpful but are no longer authorized for that.

Dan, have you called CHP and set up an appt. to have it verified.? Sometimes your local PD will do a VIN verification.
