Beck at Bonhams Auction Tomorrow...

Postby RVosari » Sat Jun 01, 2019 1:45 pm

This little beauty is on the block tomorrow at Bonham's Greenwich CT auction. it appears to be # 48...so an oldy-but-goody.
It has a small 1700 cc motor and for reasons unknown the estimates are $ 15,000-20,000 quite low

So it looks like it went for $ 25,200...which includes a 10% premium and (maybe) Connecticut 6.75 % sales tax [B)]

I was told that the motor did not work and the brakes were non-op...problem is that the rear deck key was not available so the motor was not viewable .

The muffler was just under the deck gills...so it was hard to determine what was what #-o

Keyed rear deck, eh? That's interesting.

And the cars I've seen pics of with the mufflers up high like that were some sort of IRS conversion, I think. So maybe an interesting project.

I saw this car and it looked like it had been sitting somewhere for a long time. Everything was slightly rusted or frozen, basically a roller. They did a good job of cleaning up the exterior and that was it.
