Map Loading

Postby PhotoAaron » Sun Jun 04, 2006 5:00 pm

I have noticed that there is an annoying delay when I open the main page......Looks to me like it takes awhile for 'flags' to load onto the map graphic.

FYI: I'm running High Speed Cable with Firefox browser on a Mac with 1 Gig of RAM.

Sorry, this board is for IBM compatible computer only. :D [8D] :D

Try clearing out some of your files and other clutter from your memory.

Also, change your \"favorite spot\" directly to the bulletin board.
You can always click on Home at the top of the page if you want to go there.

Ah, that was annoying me too!

Any chance of getting a \"vintage\" page with no map on it (but with latest, posts since last visit, etc)?

The map is cool, but the load stall is, as Aaron says, annoying.

Me too - all IE and MS. but the Frapper means the scrolling new messages stalls.

Hi Guys

Frapper is off-site, and it freezes javascript until it completes. The rest of the page will load completely and simultaneously. I would prefer to keep it there because it adds \"curb appeal\" for spyderclub. If you're a die-hard here, you can link to the main forums page for your bookmarks, or even the \"new posts\" page.
